Product Details

The pack contains one complete treatment course. Each tablet contains 500mg azithromycin dihydrate. For the treatment of Chlamydia in people 16 years and older who have been tested positive but have no symptoms, and for the treatment of their sexual partners.
When ordering, you will be asked for the URN (reference number) from your Clamelle Test Kit so that we can verify your test result.

Directions

Adults and adolescents 16 years and older, who have been diagnosed with Chlamydia: Take both tablets together as a single dose, with a glass of water before you go to bed and at least 2 hours after food or any other drink besides water. Take the dose as soon as possible after receiving the tablets. If you are sick within 3 hours of taking the dose, they might not work properly ? talk to your pharmacist or doctor. If you or your partner have been treated for Chlamydia, it?s important that you do not have sex (oral, vaginal, anal, or using sex toys) even with a condom for at least 7 days after taking Clamelle. If you take any medicines from your doctor, please give details of all of these when asked during the ordering process. Read the enclosed leaflet carefully. Ingredients

Each tablet contains 500mg of azithromycin (the active ingredient that makes the tablet work). The tablet also contain calcium hydrogen phosphate (anhydrous), hypromellose, maize starch, microcrystalline celluclose, sodium laurylsulfate, magnesium stearate, polysorbate 80, talc, indigotin (E132) and titanium dioxide (E171).

Warnings

Side effects are uncommon, but the most often reported are stomach related (abdominal pain and cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea). Azithromycin may cause drowsiness and dizziness in some people, in which case you should not drive or operate machinery. The enclosed leaflet gives more details about rare side effects. Not suitable for non-prescription purchase if you are already taking azithromycin, or if you have been treated for Chlamydia within the last 6 months. Do not take if you are: allergic to azithromycin or any similar antibiotics (macrolide antibiotics) or any of the ingredients; have liver, kidney or heart problems; are pregnant or breast feeding; under the age of 16; or if you have any of the symptoms of Chlamydia or any other STI's, which include: Women: pain when passing urine, bleeding between periods, unusual vaginal discharge, bleeding after sex, pain when having sex, any unexpected pain below the belly button.
